Clearing Out Your Acne Problems
Posted by: | CommentsPuberty has come and gone, but why do you still have acne? If you’re over the age of 25 and you still have pimples, zits, blackheads, and others, then don’t puberty is not the culprit anymore. Getting rid of your acnes isn’t as easy as sounds. You might want to keep it from happening first, which will need full commitment on your part.
Get a healthy lifestyle. And by healthy I mean eat, drink, breathe, and live healthy. You have to clear out all the toxicities to clear your acne. Better watch your diet as well. As much as possible, eat less oily foods and avoid drinking too much alcoholic and caffeinated beverages. Drinking water, lots of it, works wonders also. It gets rid of oil, waste, and toxins from your body. It will also moisturize your skin, preventing your pores from clogging. There is also the issue of working out regularly, avoiding stress, quitting smoking, and practicing good hygiene.
But what if you already have acne? You can keep acnes from occurring, but for those who have already infested your face and body, there are still things that you can do.
There are topical medicines that you can use to dry out pimples or acnes quickly. Over-the-counter products, such as those containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, may be applied to mild to moderate cases. There are also those natural remedies that some people swear by. They recommend honey, oatmeal, ginger, and even plain ice to dry out acnes.
However, if you have acute acne case, topical medicines are not enough.
Acute acne cases should be treated internally. As topical creams or gels can’t kill the root of the problem. Oral antibiotics may help those who suffer from serious acne problems. But oral drugs, such as those containing erythromycin or any of the tetracycline antibiotics, may have side effects. Consult a skin doctor before taking any oral medicines.
For women, acnes may be a recurring monthly case. Their menstrual period may affect their hormonal level, causing their glands’ oil secretion. For some, taking oral contraceptives assist in balancing their hormonal levels, thus helping clear out acnes.
There are no exact ways to clear out acnes. While some cures work for others, there are those who find them a waste of time and money. Your soundest bet is to lead a healthy lifestyle. Although it’s not a full guarantee that you will not have a single acne on your face again, it will help lessen the problem.
